“How to Add Your Company to LinkedIn” written by Mike Marko.
Not sure sure how to add your company to LinkedIn?
Adding your company on LinkedIn isn’t that hard. This social networking platform is almost the same as Facebook or Twitter… you can find similarities with the features compared to the other platforms.
But since LinkedIn is made for business-minded people, it has different signup process and requirements.
The process of creating a new account and company page usually confuses many business owners.
That’s why in this blog post, I’ll talk to you about how to add your company to LinkedIn. And after we create your company page, I’ll also give you some tips on how to use it effectively.
Add Your Company to LinkedIn
LinkedIn allows you to connect with job seekers and other businesses. It’s a social media platform that’s made for professionals. Using this platform gives a wide range of networking opportunities for your business.
With that said, let’s now add your company to LinkedIn.
Create a LinkedIn Business Page
To add your company to LinkedIn, you must create a personal account first. Here’s how you should do it:
- Visit LinkedIn and click sign up.
- Complete signup and click on the Companies link on the menu at the topmost part of the page.
- Locate the Click the ‘Add a Company’ link in the upper-right area of the page, below the Search box. Fill in your company name and your business email address. Verify and then click Continue.
- Enter your company’s important information and then click the Publish button found at the upper right of the page.
Having a LinkedIn business page helps potential customers to know about your brand. They can learn about the products, services and job opportunities you have by just checking your page.
Just make sure to fill in all the important information about your business and make it look professional.
Create a Showcase Page
Next step is to create a Showcase Page that’ll enable you to promote a specific product or service that your brand offers.
The Showcase Page is located below the About Us section. You can then select the Create a Showcase Page after clicking the edit tab on your company page. Afterward, fill in information that’s fitted for your product or brand.
LinkedIn only allows 10 showcase pages. Make sure you use this page for important products and offerings.
Apart from that, LinkedIn Showcase Pages also have analytics. This enables you to track your visitors interest in those products or services. When you already have a showcase page, it’ll be much easier to track your leads.
Add Relevant Keywords to Your Profile
Keywords are important in your social media marketing. They make you searchable for customers who are looking for your brand or products you sell.
That said, keywords play a good part in getting you leads and an authentic reach.
To make your page searchable, use relevant keywords. You can create a list of at least five to six words or short phrase.
Add those words to your profile page to make it easy for people to search for your brand.
Make Use of the Life Tab
Life tab is a useful tool that was just recently added. It shows users what your business is in a way that goes beyond the products or services that you offer.
Lifetab is sort of a behind-the-scenes look at your company’s background. You can use this tab to highlight activities or events you’ve been to and will go to.
The tab also allows you to feature customer feedback, share content from team members, and employee testimonials. In that way, customers will easily learn about your success and the things your brand achieved through the years. They can even have a peak on the latest feedback you have which makes you more reliable.
Remember to Engage on LinkedIn
Engagement is important when marketing a business on LinkedIn. That’s why you need to post comment-worthy updates.
When you leave comments, you give people an impression that you are easy to talk with.
That way it’ll be easier for them to later reach out to you and talk about business. This, in return, can easily turn them into buying customers.
You can start a good engagement by:
- Asking relatable and answerable questions.
- Sharing unique statistics.
- Sharing relevant links people find interest in.
- Adding attention-grabbing photos.
Remember that LinkedIn is a social media channel… meaning people want to socialize on LInkedIn. You don’t just appear to be boring business profile. Instead you have to appear attentive 24/7.
