Your Daily Thoughts Form Your Destiny
This can be a good thing if you are some kind of freak of nature and all of your thoughts are positive, but if you are actually human then you have something called a negativity bias. Which means Nastiness makes a bigger impact on our brains. For example, you can have 100 positive experiences, but will always remember the one time if was a negative one.
When I was a teenager my mom became a single parent and struggled to make ends meet I remember shopping for clothes and wanting to buy things that she couldn’t afford. Before that, we had plenty of money, but my memories are of shopping at the mall and feeling fearful of the cost. This lead to certain ideas of scarcity where money is concerned.
I struggled with thoughts like
“I don’t have enough money to buy the things I want
I will not ever live in that beautiful home
Life is always a struggle
One thought fuels more of the same kinds of thoughts (neurons that fire together wire together).or even worse We generate more fear thoughts by talking about it. And this leads to emotions that reinforce what we see in the world which then leads to actions that reinforce those thoughts.
Questions to Help Form Your Daily Thoughts
“Watch your thoughts, they become words;
Watch your words, they become actions;
Watch your actions, they become habits;
Watch your habits, they become character;
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”
If you find yourself lost in thought inside your head about worries in an area of your life, how would you like to find a way to be freer of those thoughts.
First start by asking yourself What theme do you feel your thoughts have had over the past day?
Are they mostly empowering thoughts or do you find yourself mostly in fear and victimhood. This is important because your thoughts eventually shape your life…
How to Break Through Destructive Patterns Of Thought
For many people, we find ourselves repeating the same patterns in a certain area of our life.
Relationships: the names might change, but you find yourself in the same dysfunctional relationships.
Finances: you can’t seem to break through the glass ceiling you’ve set for yourself.
Health: you continually have health/body issues.
Remember You Can Control Your Daily Thoughts
When your main thoughts are one of fear it can block you from having a fulfilling life. We can feel that we are never going to get out of our destructive patterns and then regret sets in which is one of the lowest emotions a person can have energetically
It’s not your fault, you are literally wired this way, but you can change the wiring
You are not your thoughts. You don’t have to believe them.
They are never reality, no matter how real they might seem.
No matter how much you can see hear and taste something in your head, It is never a reality.
Thinking is necessary for survival, but it’s just a signpost that points us towards what’s beyond words.
Don’t Focus On Your Negative Thoughts
It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. We are giving off an energy of fear instead of one of self-confidence when we are in this kind of thought- emotion-action loop.
If you want to change an area of your life I challenge you to ask yourself the following questions.
Is this thought real? Is this thought I’m having about money real? Am I really always going to be this way? or is there room to let in a thought about a possibility for change.
Does this thought serve my highest good? If your goal is financial freedom and abundance, is this thought in alignment with that goal?
Then tell yourself “Please Don’t believe these thoughts”- this gives a little space.
Just Pause and Come back into presence. The more we practice mindfulness through coming back to presence the more we have room to not react to what is going on in our head. Notice your breath or your surrounding and give yourself a count of ten to just be here and now.
Can I get back to love?– We were not born with these thoughts of fear. We are born with only 2 fears! The fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Every other fear is learned. Go back to the time when you learned to fear and ask for healing by saying these four simple phrases from the Hawaiian healing method called Hoponopono

- I’m sorry
- I love you
- Please forgive me
It’s not what’s happening to you now or what has happened in your past that determines who you become. Rather, it’s your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you’re going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny.
